Navagraha Shanti

About this Ritual

Navagraha Shanti addresses the nine planetary influences together. It is the right choice when a chart shows a spread of difficulties rather than one identifiable dosha, and it is often performed before a major undertaking as a general settling. The havan makes offerings to each graha in turn, with the samidha, grain and colour prescribed for that planet. A chart is useful but not required; bring a birth date, time and place if you have them and the sankalp will be specific rather than general. This is a remedial ceremony, not a prediction. If what you actually want is to understand a chart, book a Janam Kundli reading instead — it costs a great deal less and will tell you whether this puja is even the right one.
