Privacy Policy
What we collect when you book a pooja, why we need it, and who else sees it.
Last updated 29 August 2026
This policy covers Pankaj Pandir's pooja service and this website. It is written to be read, not to be skimmed past — so it is specific about what actually happens rather than reserving every right a longer document might.
The short version: we collect what is needed to send a pandit to your home at the right time, and nothing else. There is no analytics on this site, no tracking pixels, and no advertising network of any kind. We do not sell or rent your details to anybody, and there is no arrangement under which we could.
1.What we collect when you book
Booking a pooja requires a small, specific set of details. Each one is used for something you would expect:
- Your name — so the pandit knows whose home he is coming to and how to address you.
- Your mobile number — this is how we confirm the booking and send reminders on WhatsApp. It is also how we find your booking if you call us.
- Your email address, if you give one — optional. It is used only to send the same confirmation by email as a backup. Leaving it blank changes nothing about your booking.
- The address of the ceremony — flat or house, landmark, area, city and pincode. The pandit cannot arrive without it, and the area determines travel time between bookings.
- The date and time you chose, the pooja you chose, and whether you are arranging the samagri yourself.
- Anything you type into the notes box — gotra, sankalp details, parking instructions. This is free text and it is passed to the pandit as you wrote it, so please do not put anything there you would not want him to read.
2.What we deliberately do not collect
This section exists because it is more informative than the one above. On this website there is:
- No analytics. No Google Analytics, no Tag Manager, no Meta pixel, no Hotjar, no session recording, no heatmaps. We do not know which pages you visited or how long you stayed.
- No advertising or remarketing tags. Nothing on this site follows you anywhere else, because nothing on this site is capable of it.
- No card, UPI or bank details on our servers. Payments are handled entirely inside Razorpay’s own payment window. We receive a reference and a success or failure, never a card number.
- No location tracking. The booking form asks which area you are in so travel time can be worked out. It does not read your device location in the background.
- No account required. You can book without creating a login or setting a password.
3.If you write to us
The enquiry form on the contact page sends your message straight to our email inbox. It is not saved into a database, added to a mailing list, or used for anything other than replying to you. If you would rather not use the form, calling or messaging us on WhatsApp reaches the same people.
4.Who else handles your information
Running this service means using a few specialist companies. Each one sees only the part it needs, and none of them are permitted to use your details for their own purposes:
- Razorpay — payment processing. They receive the payment details you enter into their window and the amount. We never see the card or UPI credentials.
- Meta (WhatsApp Business Platform) — delivering your confirmation and reminder messages. They receive your mobile number and the message content.
- Our email provider — delivering the same confirmations by email, and delivering enquiries from the contact form to us. They receive your email address and the message.
- MongoDB Atlas — the database where booking records are stored.
- Cloudflare — the “verify you are human” check on the booking and enquiry forms, which exists to stop automated abuse filling the calendar with fake bookings.
- Cloudinary — hosting photographs shown on the site. It handles images, not customer records.
5.Messages, and how to stop them
Booking a pooja means we will message you about that booking: a confirmation, the pandit’s name and number, and reminders before the date. These are service messages about something you asked for, not marketing.
You can stop them at any time by replying STOP to any WhatsApp message from us. That is honoured immediately and it is checked twice — once when a message is queued and again before it is sent — so nothing already in the queue slips through afterwards. Replying START turns them back on.
Stopping messages does not cancel your booking. If you do stop them, please note that we will then have no way to reach you about a change of time, so a phone call becomes the only route.
7.How long we keep things
Booking records are kept as long as they are useful for running the practice and for the tax and accounting records a business is required to keep — a booking is also a receipt, and deleting it would leave a gap in the books.
Enquiry emails sit in our mailbox and are dealt with like any other correspondence.
Changes to a booking’s status and to money are written to an internal audit trail that is deliberately append-only, so a record of what happened cannot be quietly rewritten later. That trail records what changed and who changed it.
8.How your information is protected
The practical measures in place, rather than a general assurance that we take security seriously:
- The whole site is served over HTTPS, and the browser is instructed to refuse an unencrypted connection.
- Staff passwords are stored as a scrypt hash. They cannot be read back — not by us either.
- Every admin screen checks who you are on the server before it returns any data, and a pandit’s account can only ever load that pandit’s own bookings.
- Public forms are rate-limited and human-checked, which is what stops the calendar being filled with junk bookings by an automated script.
- A strict content security policy limits what a browser is allowed to load on our pages at all.
9.Your rights over your information
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct anything wrong, and ask us to delete it. There is no form for this and no charge — just ask.
We will always do the first two. Deletion we will do wherever we can, but we may need to keep the bare record of a completed, paid booking where accounting rules require it. If that applies to your request we will tell you plainly which records we are keeping and why, rather than refusing without explanation.
To make any of these requests, please call or message us on 9653320535, or email madhavacreation1510@gmail.com.
10.Children
This service is intended to be booked by adults. Children are very often present at the ceremonies themselves — a namkaran or an annaprashan is about a child — but we do not knowingly collect details directly from a child, and the booking is always made by an adult.
11.Changes to this policy
This policy was last updated on 29 August 2026. If it changes in a way that materially affects you, the updated date at the top of this page will change with it.
12.Getting in touch
