Mangal Dosh, or being Manglik, is the placement of Mars in certain houses of a birth chart. It is raised almost entirely in the context of marriage, and it causes a great deal of avoidable distress in families who have been told it is disqualifying. The ceremony performed here is a Mangal havan with a Hanuman puja, since Hanuman is the traditional recourse for Mars. It is usually held on a Tuesday.
